Father's Love Letter

My Child,

You may not know me, but I know everything about you. Psalm 139:1
I know when you sit down and when you rise up. Psalm 139:2

Rabu Abu di GKI

Kemarin, tanggal 25 Februari 2009, Gereja kami (GKI) mengadakan kebaktian Rabu Abu, kebaktian dimulai tepat pukul 19.00 WIB, yg dipimpin oleh Pdt. Rahmat Basukendra. Tema kebaktian tersebut adalah "RITUS ATAU KOMITMEN" Lewat tema tersebut jemaat diajak untuk sejenak merefleksikan akan segala dosa-dosanya yg mengakibatkan terjadinya kerusakan Moral, Kerusakan Lingkungan dan sebagainya, Memasuki pekan Pra-Paska ini kita diajak untuk berkomitmen agar kita mau peduli dengan lingkungan, sesama, dan Tuhan. Tidak hanya melalui Ritus-ritus kabaktian saja, tapi harus juga dinyatakan dalam kehidupan. Dalam kebaktian kali ini juga ditampilkan Drama yg berjudul "MORAL...OH..MORAL". Setelah khotbah selesai, dimulailah pengolesan Abu oleh pendeta kepada jemaat, sebagai simbol bahwa kita sudah memasuki pekan Pra-Paska. Kebaktian pun selesai tepat pada pukul 21.00 WIB

Pekan Paska (Pascha)

Memasuki bulan Februari berarti kita sudah mulai memasuki Pekan Raya Paska. Tepatnya, pada tanggal 25 Februari nanti, kita umat Nasrani (Katholik, Anglikan, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, dll) akan memasuki masa Paska, yang akan dimulai pada hari Raya Rabu Abu. Kita akan menjalani masa raya Paska selama kurang lebih 4o Hari, dimana masa raya pra-Paska akan diakhiri pada masa Pekan Suci (Kamis Putih, Jumat Agung, Sabtu Suci, Minggu Paskah).
Kita diajak untuk mengintrospeksi diri kita, bertobat, serta kita juga diajak untuk berpuasa atau sekurang-kurangnya berpantang, meskipun hal ini tidak diwajibkan oleh Gereja Protestan, namun, apa salahnya jika kita melakukan itu juga jika tujuannya baik ?
Oleh sebab itu, marilah kita mempersiapkan diri kita, menyongsong datangnya hari yang Agung dan Mulia itu ! Selamat memasuki masa Raya Paska, kiranya Roh Kudus menolong kita mempersiapkan diri kita masing - masing. Tuhan Memberkati !
